Shrouded

Shrouded

Shrouded was a 2-man project done on Adobe Flash as part of our main studio assignment.

Players get to take on the role of a hero in Blake Shyft, an orphan who possesses the ability to shadowform. With his powers, players hunt down the notorious mob.

Role in project : Artist / Designer

Art / Animations

All art animations and assets created by me for this flash project were done using the tools provided in Adobe Flash.

Art was done mainly using cell shading and hard outlining for the artstyle while animations were mainly animated using the classic tween tool that can be found in flash.

Animations for different body parts on separate layers.

Props & Assets

Level Design & Art

All art, animations and assets that is shown throughout the levels were all designed and created by me.

I designed the levels in such a way so that the players can progressively learn the different mechanics of the game slowly.

I also tried to introduced new characters and enemies in each new level along with a different set of props to differentiate the feel of each scene.

Level Design & Art

For the art of the menu screens, it was done strictly using hand-drawing and painting of the fonts and animations. For the animations of the various buttons in the menu screens, I did it so that a popping and sinking animations would appear depending on whether the player clicks or releases their mouse button for more feedback.

UI Design / Art

The entire User Interface  was dsigned by me, along with the art assets and animations.

For the buttons, I tried to keep it consistent by making them all have the same colour pallet, in addition, I also added rings of rust around it to make the buttons seem like they have aged.
